About IGAD Media Awards 2024
The 2nd Edition of the IGAD Media Awards successfully concluded in 2024, reaffirming our commitment to celebrating excellence in journalism and media production across the Horn of Africa.
Themed “Narratives of Hope: Inspiring Peaceful, Secure, and Inclusive Futures,” the 2024 Awards focused on the critical topic of Peace and Security. Journalists, storytellers, and media professionals from across the IGAD region submitted outstanding work that explored the complexities of conflict, peacebuilding, and inclusive governance through ethical reporting and impactful storytelling.
We thank all participants, winners, and partners who made the 2024 edition a remarkable success. The stories submitted continue to inspire regional dialogue, promote understanding, and contribute to a more peaceful and secure IGAD region.
